Design proposal for a small guest house on a typical early 20th century farm near the river Krka in the south-east region of Slovenia. The building is made out of Rammed Earth with a wooden roof structure and metal finishing. Interior finishes like the bespoke furniture or wall cladding are made out of plywood.
The building is located in a small forest between the farm and meadows next to the river. The L-shape of the floorplan devides  the sleeping area with the kitchen and living area around a small terrace in the corner of the building. The simple form makes it faisable for the construction with Rammed Earth.
To understand the technique well,  the model itself is also made with a fine mix of Rammed Earth. This allowed us to experience on a small scale the effect and caracteristics of the material.
